I just found out today that Brian Schuman, a good friend of the Florida Hickory Golfers, lost his daughter Jordan on Dec 23rd in a car accident.
Jordan was 22-years old and worked as an on-air reporter and multimedia journalist for WPDE in the Florence/Myrtle Beach area. She graduated last year from the University of Miami.
Apparently, Jordan was driving from her home in Florence to meet friends for a holiday dinner just over the border in NC. She was involved in a multi-car accident in Waxhaw, North Carolina.

Brian sent out a brief note, saying “Jordan is /was the most precious thing in my life and my motivation for getting up in the morning, I am beyond, way beyond grief.”
Brian is an active member of the hickory golf movement in the US. He founded the US Hickory Players and the Metropolitan Hickory Society and has created numerous events, including as the World Hickory Match Play Championship and the John Greene Fall Hickory Classic.
