Monday, January 1, 2024 – Third Annual Kick Off the New Year Event
The Florida Hickory Golfers are off and running in 2024, teeing it up at Southport Springs Golf Course in Zephyrhills. Although a bit chilly to start, it turned into a beautiful day at this fun golf course and perfect for our annual start. FHG Director, Mike Stevens accumulated 28 points to nip Paul Fiedorek by 1 in the Stableford and the brothers Martin, Bob and Marty were plus 8 to tie in the quota differential portion of the event. Fiedorek and Scott Bowles took team honors with plus 13. We’re looking forward to another great year of hickory play here in Florida. Special thanks to our host and FHG member Earl Hines for his hospitality and food and beverages post round. It was certainly a great day.
Next up is the Winter Park Hickory Classic on January 20 & 21.
