Lionel Freedman, World Hickory Open Founder & Director, 1934-2017

Lionel Freedman, founder and director of the World Hickory Open of Scotland, has passed away after a long illness.  Born in 1934, he was 83 years old.  Jim Davis wrote an excellent obit of Lionel for the SoHG website, which you can read here.

A few months ago, the FHG site ran a small story about Lionel speaking at the 2016 International Hickory Cup via Facebook/phone.  We ran a video to record the call, which we include below so those who never knew Lionel can get a feel for who he was.
