2021 Winter Park Hickory Classic Packs a Full Field of Fun

The second edition of the Winter Park Hickory Classic welcomed a full field of 44 ladies and gents to the increasingly legendary Winter Park Golf Course (aka, the WP9) on Saturday, January 23. The clouds were above and few sprinkles came down, but that did nothing to halt the festivities at hand.

Will Peterson grabbed first prize the Open Division with a rock solid +1 score of 71. Hhe was closely followed by Gil Feagin (73) and Joe Foguth (75). In the Reserve Division, Tom McCrary took 1st Place in a scorecard playoff over Dave Webster with Dan Capaz only one stroke behind in 3rd.

On the Ladies side, it was Marci Likens taking the 1st Place Open Award, with Natalie Wells grabbing 1st Place Reserve and Beth Chambers winning 2nd Place Reserve.

Dig those trophies! They are slight miniatures of the actual WP9 tee markers. No, we didn’t steal them.

Lots more photos are posted at the Winter Park Hickory Classic site. We’ll see you all next year!
