Fansided, an online sports magazine, recently published a pretty decent article about hickory golf. It focuses a lot on Marty Joy and the Belvedere Hickory Open, as author Pete Kelbel is from those parts. Kelbel has even purchased a set of hickory clubs (shown below), which he discusses. Good for him! It’s a decent read, even though Kelbel is still limiting his hickory play to a side adventure. Maybe he’ll get bitten by the bug and go whole hog into the hickory world. See you there!
