Excellent weather conditions greeted the Florida Hickory Golfers in the Annual Championship at the Mount Dora Golf Club. In spite of losing their water pump for most of the summer the course was in good shape and although slow, the greens were thick from the winter overseed.
Will Peterson nosed out Richard Bullock in a scorecard playoff to take the FHG Championship for the second time. Both shot 76. Newcomer James Chambers took the Sporting trophy with a net 68 while the pairing of Marci Likens and Bernie Alessandrini were team champions with a quota differential of plus 6.
