The Florida Hickory Golfers’ events in conjunction with the Florida State Golf Association start this coming August. Some great golf courses are lined up and the events are open to all hickory players (Men & Women) who have a GHIN handicap. These events are part of the FSGA’s One-Day Event Series, so they are open to modern players too, but you’re not here to read about that.
In order to participate, a GHIN handicap is required and you must also sign up for a free or paid account with the FSGA to facilitate registration and payment. If you do not have a GHIN Handicap, you can arrange to get one through the FSGA website. When you go on their website click on the “Create an Account Tab.”
Once you have an FSGA account, you can enter events using your GHIN number. The FHG suggests that you become an official paid member of the FSGA as that organization is making a major effort to support Hickory Golf in the state. An FSGA membership is only $50.
Here is the schedule of events and a link to more information on each event and how to sign up.
