Not many players realize how good the courses on the Florida Historic Golf Trail are. Ocala Golf Club is certainly one. A challenging layout with lots of elevation changes uncharacteristic of a Florida golf course and visually scenic and interesting holes. Lee Wilson accumulated 30 points with some stellar play while BJ Hayden and Shawn Pierson took the quota portion of the event at plus 7. Three teams, Wilson/Hayden, Pierson/Grula and Johnson/Hobson tied at plus 5 in the blind draw game. OGC is certainly well worth a stop if ever in the area.
